General Manager
An accomplished financial services professional with a proven track record of over 25 years, Mr. Ramsay has worked in various senior roles in the financial services industry and the business advisory sector. His expertise spans various areas, including strategic planning, financial and treasury management, auditing and risk management. Mr. Ramsay became the fourth General Manager of the JTA Co-op Credit Union in August 2017, prior to this appointment, he was the Senior Manager with responsibility for Finance and Accounting, a position he held for twelve years.
A chartered accountant by profession, Mr. Ramsay is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica. He holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Napier and a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Technology.
Mr. Ramsay’s strategic leadership and his expert technical competencies have led the organization on a path of transformation, expanded service channels, modernized operations and increased productivity, while prioritizing members’ satisfaction. As General Manager and Team Lead, he recognizes that his role is to facilitate and motivate. He practices team empowerment and believes that human resource development and talent management are paramount to the Credit Union’s success.
