Robert Ramsay, FCCA, FCA, MBA

General Manager 

Mr. Ramsay became the fourth General Manager of the JTA Co-op Credit Union in August 2017. Prior to his appointment to the position Mr. Ramsay was the head of the Finance department, a position he held for twelve years. Before that he worked with BDO Chartered Accountants as an Audit Supervisor.

Mr. Ramsay is a chartered accountant with over twenty-five years of experience in accounting and financial management. He holds an MBA a Diploma in Business Administration and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.

Lisa Taylor, MBA, BA, Dip.

Assistant General Manager

In September 2018 Lisa Taylor assumed the role of Assistant General Manager of the JTA Co-op Credit Union Ltd. Prior to taking on this role Mrs. Taylor was the head of the Marketing Unit where she had direct responsibility for product development, promotion, brand building and corporate social responsibility. Mrs. Taylor has extensive experience in the Credit Union movement having worked with The Jamaica Co-operative Credit League before joining the JTA Credit Union.

Mrs. Taylor holds an MBA in International Business, a Ba in History and a Diploma in Marketing Management.

She is committed to improving the service offered to each member of the Credit Union by way of providing solutions that work. Since assuming the role of Assistant General Manager Mrs. Taylor has decentralized the debit card issuance procedure allowing members to receive and pin their cards on the same day of signing up for membership. She has also implemented the introduction of remote transfers and withdrawals allowing members to be able to withdraw or transfer funds from their Credit Union account without having to visit a branch

 

Fabian Webb, MBA, BSc.

Information Technology Manager

As the head of the Information Technology Department Mr. Webb has led the JTA Co-op Credit Union in the adoption of technology to meet new regulatory mandates which include IFRS9 and AML compliance, he has also worked at expanded Cyber capabilities through ecommerce, transaction alerts, multi-channel payments and e-Banking. Mr. Webb has established cyber-security as a strategic imperative for the organization. Mr. Webb joined the JTA Co-op Credit Union in 2016, prior to his appointment he worked with the National Land Agency (NLA), the Fiscal Services Ltd. and Blue Cross Jamaica. Mr. Webb has earned recognition for work in his field from the Government of Jamaica and the National Land Agency. He holds an MBA with a focus on Information Technology, a Post Graduate Diploma and a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Maxine Nugent, MBA, BSc.

Finance Manager

Miss Nugent has been the Finance Manager of the JTA Co-op Credit Union since 2017. Miss Nugent’s vision is for the organization to be among the top tier of organizations in the areas of ease of business, convenience and efficiency. In line with this vision Miss Nugent has implemented several initiatives that have resulted in the organization having better connectivity and efficiency across the branch network. Miss Nugent has over 15 years experienced in the field of finance having headed the finance division of a large manufacturing organization and also in the Credit Union movement. Miss Nugent holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance.

 

 

 

 

Suezette Hemmings-Bryan, MBA, BSc.

HRD & Administration Manager

In August 2019 Mrs. Hemmings-Bryan joined the JTA Co-op Credit Union team as the head of the HRD & Administration Department. Mrs. Hemmings-Bryan has extensive knowledge in the field of administration having gained experience working with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security – St. Thomas Parish Office, Southeast Regional Health Authority – St. Thomas Health Services, St. Thomas Municipal Corporation and the Ministry of Justice. Prior to joining the Credit Union Mrs. Hemmings-Bryan’s longest stint of employment was with the Municipal Corporation where she spent over fourteen years as the Director of Administration.

Mrs. Hemmings-Bryan’s vision for the Credit Union is for the organisation to be the place of choice for employment. To that end, since her appointment, Mrs. Hemmings-Bryan has worked assiduously at fostering and cultivating an environment of improved staff relations, and staff motivation.

Mrs. Hemmings-Bryan holds an MBA, a Bachelor of Science Degree and several Professional Certifications.


We are a member owned financial organization that serves teachers and other workers in the education sector who are members of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association. Since our establishment we have worked hard to ensure that our members are able to ‘BE THEIR BEST’.
