Dr. Margaret Bailey
Assistant Treasurer Serving Region 1 Kingston, St. Andrew & St. Catherine
Dr. Margaret Bailey is a distinguished educator with over three decades
of service and currently serves as Principal of Rollington Town Primary School.
Originally from St. Ann, she received her early education at Runaway Bay
All-Age School and St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School before training at St.
Joseph’s Teachers’ College. She later earned a PhD in Educational Psychology
(with highest commendation), a Master’s Degree with distinction, and a
Bachelor’s Degree with Honours from the University of the West Indies. In 2004,
she completed advanced qualitative research training as a Research Fellow at
the University of Alberta, Canada.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to education and
community development, Dr. Bailey was awarded the National Badge of Honour for
Meritorious Service in 2023.
Other Team Members
We are a member owned financial organization that serves teachers and other workers in the education sector who are members of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association. Since our establishment we have worked hard to ensure that our members are able to ‘BE THEIR BEST’.
