The JTA Co-op Credit Union Ltd. is proud to announce its outstanding achievements at the

Credit Union League of Jamaica's  Annual Awards Ceremony, held over the weekend of June

6–7, 2025. The Credit Union secured second place in the Renford Douglas Credit Union of

the Year Award in the large-sized category. This marks a significant milestone in its continued

commitment to excellence, innovation, and member service.

In addition to this prestigious placement, the JTA Credit Union also claimed runner-up in two

major categories:

 The Stanley Moore Award in Financial Education and Empowerment, this award

recognizes the Credit Union’s impactful financial literacy programs that empowers

members to make informed financial decisions. These programs include talks at various

schools, presentations at seminars and conferences and our financial literacy session held

online.

 The McArthur Palmer Award for Technological Innovation, this award celebrates the

Credit Union’s forward-thinking approach to integrating modern technology into its

operations and member services delivery.

These awards are a testament to the Credit Union’s ongoing mission to serve our members with

integrity, innovation, and a focus on lifelong financial empowerment. The Credit Union is

honored to be recognized by its peers and the Credit Union League of Jamaica for the work it has

done throughout 2024. However, these awards and recognition could not have been possible

without the unwavering support and loyalty of our members. We would therefore like to express

our heartfelt appreciation for the trust you have placed in us and for giving us the opportunity to

help you achieve your goals. It is the well-being of each member that inspires everything we do.

The JTA Credit Union looks forward to building on this momentum by continuing to develop

transformative financial services, enhance digital experiences, and promote member education

throughout the remainder of 2025.

The JTA Credit Union, was founded in 1959 with the sole purpose of helping educators in

Jamaica achieve financial independence and success. Over these past six decades we have stayed

true to our mission and the community we serve, this is one of our major keys to success. As we
