Paul Adams
President, Board of Directors Serving Region 5 St. Elizabeth, Manchester & Clarendon
An esteemed educator and transformational leader, Mr. Adams is the former
Principal of Herbert Morrison Technical High School. Over a distinguished
career spanning decades, he has served Jamaica’s education sector with
dedication and vision.
Mr. Adams began his career as a Classroom Teacher at Balaclava Secondary
School (1987–1993). He then served as a Lecturer at Bethlehem Teachers’ College
from 1993 to 1998, followed by his appointment as Vice Principal of St.
Elizabeth Technical High School (1998–2003). In 2003, he assumed leadership of
Herbert Morrison Technical High School, where he served as Principal until his
retirement.
His commitment to service extends beyond the classroom. In 2003, he was
appointed Assistant Treasurer to the Board of the JTA Co-operative Credit
Union, later ascending to President of the Board of Directors in November 2015.
Notably, he also served two terms as President of the Jamaica Teachers’
Association, reflecting the high regard in which he is held nationally.
