Robert Ramsay, FCCA, FCA, MBA

General Manager 

An accomplished financial services professional with a proven track record of over 25 years, Mr. Ramsay has worked in various senior roles in the financial services industry and the business advisory sector.  His expertise spans various areas, including strategic planning, financial and treasury management, auditing and risk management. Mr. Ramsay became the fourth General Manager of the JTA Co-op Credit Union in August 2017, prior to this appointment, he was the Senior Manager with responsibility for Finance and Accounting, a position he held for twelve years.

A chartered accountant by profession, Mr. Ramsay is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica. He holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Napier and a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Technology.

Mr. Ramsay’s strategic leadership and his expert technical competencies have led the organization on a path of transformation, expanded service channels, modernized operations and increased productivity, while prioritizing members’ satisfaction. As General Manager and Team Lead, he recognizes that his role is to facilitate and motivate. He practices team empowerment and believes that human resource development and talent management are paramount to the Credit Union’s success.  He is committed to seeking innovative ideas and new approaches to improve the organization’s performance and enrich members’ rewards.

Lisa Taylor, MBA, BA, Dip.

Lisa Taylor was appointed to the role of Assistant General Manager in 2018 after a leading the Credit Union’s Marketing and Public Relations thrust for 12 years. During her time as the head of Marketing, Lisa introduced several new initiatives and products that have catapulted JTA Co-op Credit Union to the top spot in the Credit Union industry for many years. A champion of customer relations and personal selling, she leveraged the unique attributes of the cooperative principles to build a strong loyalty to the brand within the target market, giving the Credit Union a sustained edge over its competitors.

In her new role of Assistant General Manager with direct oversight for banking operations, Lisa has applied her unique ability to establish and mobilize teams to achieve success in business growth and process efficiency. She has also been at the forefront of the adoption of new technologies to drive the business towards efficiency and improvement in service delivery.  Lisa is instrumental in reshaping operations to meet the ever-increasing regulatory demands while maintaining and growing profitability.

Lisa holds a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration from the Mona School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of West Indies. She also has a Diploma in Marketing Management from the Institute of Management and Production (now UCC). Committed to continuous learning, Lisa has obtained additional certification in key aspects of financial management such as financial statement analysis and treasury management.

 

Fabian Webb, MBA, BSc.

Information Technology Manager

Mr. Webb joined the JTA Co-op Credit Union in 2016. Prior to his appointment he distinguished himself as a Technology Manager and Leader in both the private and public sectors, serving the insurance, land, education, and medical sectors. He has earned several recognitions for work in his field from the Government of Jamaica and continues to serve on private and public committees and boards.

He holds an MBA with a focus on Information Technology, a PGD in Business Administration and a BSc in Computer Science. He holds serval professional certifications including Project Management and Cyber Security with special training in IS0 27001.

As the Chief Information Officer, Mr. Webb has led and guided the JTA Co-op Credit Union in the adoption of technology to meet new regulatory mandates which include IFRS9 and AML compliance. He has also worked at expanded Cyber capabilities through ecommerce, transaction alerts, multi-channel payments and e-Banking. Mr. Webb has established cyber-security as a strategic imperative for the organization.

Maxine Nugent, MBA, BSc.

Finance Manager

Miss Nugent has been the Finance Manager of the JTA Co-op Credit Union since 2017. Her vision is for the organization to be among the top tier of organizations in the areas of ease of business, convenience and efficiency. In line with this vision Miss Nugent has implemented several initiatives that have resulted in the organization having better connectivity and efficiency across the branch network.

Miss Nugent has over 15 years experienced in the field of finance having headed the finance division of a large manufacturing organization and also in the Credit Union movement. Miss Nugent holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance.

 

 

 

 

Suezette Hemmings-Bryan, MBA, BSc.

Suezette Hemmings-Bryan joined the JTA Co-operative Credit Union team in 2019 as its Human Resource Manager with wealth of experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that foster a positive work environment.  She came to the JTA Co-op Credit Union after a solid career and proven track record in Human Resource Management at various organizations in the Public Sector. For more than 14 years, Mrs. Hemmings-Bryan provided leadership for the Administration Team at the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation and again, for a short while at the Ministry of Justice as Human Resources lead. In addition to these agencies, Mrs. Hemmings-Bryan has worked at the Southeast Regional Health Authority, namely the St. Thomas Health Services as well as the St. Thomas Office of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Her years of experience has shaped her into the consummate professional who demonstrates a high level of dedication to building teams that excel and strategies that improve efficiencies. She is passionate about employer/employee harmony and has championed several initiatives that have significantly improved labour relations and staff morale within the organization. She has also improved the functionality of the HR and Admin unit by leveraging available technologies to manage key functions such as time attendance and leave scheduling, with greater efficiency.

She is a graduate of the University of Technology and holds a Diploma in Office Administration and Technology, a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She counts among her academic achievements numerous professional certifications in critical areas such as human resource management, organisational development, corporate planning and consultation and facilitation. Mrs. Hemmings-Byran describes herself as being on a mission to establish the JTA Cooperative Credit Union as an authority among its peers on how to maximize the full potential of your human capital.
