Karen Hewett-Kennedy
Assistant Board Secretary Serving at Large
Mrs. Hewett-Kennedy serves as Assistant Board Secretary of the JTA Co-op
Credit Union Ltd.
Her career began in 1978 at Bridgeport High School, where she rose from
teacher to Vice-Principal and ultimately Principal. She later served as
Principal of Portmore Community College until her retirement.
A graduate of Mico Teachers’ College and the University of the West
Indies, she was awarded the National Order of Distinction in 2013 in
recognition of her outstanding service to education.
We are a member owned financial organization that serves teachers and other workers in the education sector who are members of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association. Since our establishment we have worked hard to ensure that our members are able to ‘BE THEIR BEST’.
