Ena Barclay

Mrs. Ena Barclay began her teaching career in her native Westmoreland at
Sheffield All-Age School. Her professional journey has since included service
at Trinityville Secondary School and Lyssons Primary School, where she also
served as Principal.
An alumna of Manning’s High School (1966–1972) and Shortwood Teachers’
College (1974–1976), Mrs. Barclay has pursued extensive professional
development, including studies at G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and
Sport (1986–1987), Jamaica School of Music (1991–1993), and multiple programmes
at University of the West Indies. In 2004, she studied at Mount Saint Vincent
University in Halifax, Canada, and in 2010 was awarded a Commonwealth
Fellowship in the United Kingdom.
Elected to the Board of the JTA Co-op Credit Union in 1999, Mrs. Barclay
currently serves as 1st Vice-President of the Board of Directors, bringing
decades of educational leadership and governance experience.
